Food insecurity and poverty go hand-in-hand, creating barriers to health and wellness within the Bronx in New York City. These barriers have increased throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Word of Life International (WOL) is a not-for-profit community outreach agency providing food and social services to thousands of Bronx residents and we envision a community that is beyond the threat of hunger and economic obstacles.
